Formed in 2001 when virtually of their members were noneffervescent in their teens, Buffalo, NY's It Dies Today throw one human foot in the kingdom of bruising death metal and another in post-hardcore, combine the iI styles into an explosive hybrid in the main referred to as -- you guessed it -- metalcore. Following a freshet of touring and a self-financed EP named Always Scorned, members Nick Brooks (vocals), Mike Hatalak (guitar), Christopher Cappelli (guitar), Steve Lemke (bass), and Nick Mirusso (drums) landed a deal with Trustkill Records. It Dies Today's full-length debut, The Caitiff Choir, emerged in 2004, and their sophomore, Sirens, followed in 2006.
